What Is CBD Oil?
CBD oil is short for cannabidiol, a chemical derived from the hemp plant. In fact, the cannabis plant contains a total of 113 chemicals also referred to as cannabinoids. The oil is derived from the resin glands of the hemp plant, but it contains no THC, the active component of marijuana that is known for its hallucinogenic effects. CBD is not psychoactive.
Is CBD Oil Legal?
The short answer is yes. CBD oil contains less than 0.3% of THC as long as it’s derived from the hemp plant, the non-intoxicating form of the plant. In the rare case that distributors are sourcing their CBD from other plants, it would be the seller at fault and not the customer.
That being said, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the laws concerning CBD in your area and your country to verify with the local authorities.
You should note that full-spectrum CBD, CBD created with a broad range of cannabinoids rather than just CBD, has trace amounts of THC that may cause you to fail a test. While CBD won’t get you high, the test will unfortunately tell a different story.

Retailers have capitalized on the new trend and formulated bottles of CBD oil specifically for vaporizer use. CBD oil for vape pens are made with the crystalline hemp-CBD extract along with propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. That is to say that they’re made with the typical ingredients you’d find in a bottle of e-liquid.
There are devices designed to vape cannabis oils; however, there few and far between. If you purchase CBD oil specifically designed for vape pens, you’ll be able to use your standard vape pen and simply fill it up with the special e-liquid. Because it has PG and VG, CBD oil e-liquid can carry flavour very well and can produce thick vapour clouds.

What Is a CBD Oil Vape Pen?
There are, unfortunately no special CBD oil vape pen starter kits, or at least not that I’m aware of, because it doesn’t really merit its own device. You can find dry herb vaporizers and dabs pens because these forms of marijuana are solid as opposed to liquid. You need a strong weed vaporizer if you’re using dry herbs or dabs because you need to either cook the flower or melt the concentrates before you can inhale the vapour. CBD oil, on the other hand, is a liquid, so you can vapourize it easily. As an oil, it’s a bit too thick for a vape pen; however, if you mix it with the PG and VG, you’ll have the perfect consistency.
How Does a CBD Oil Vape Pen Work?
A CBD oil vape pen works much like any other vape pen, or rather, any vape pen will do.
For those of you who have never heard of a vape pen before, a vape pen is an electronic cigarette. It’s comprised of three elements: a heating coil, tank, and battery. The liquid is stored in the tank until its drawn into the atomizer coil via the cotton wicking material.
The battery powers the coil, and the coil, when heated, vaporizes the liquid, which flows up through the chimney to the mouthpiece where you inhale it. On the whole, vaping CBD oil is just incredibly convenient. Not only does it taste good, but it’s portable and can be used pretty much anywhere.
The best CBD oil vape pens will have long battery life and high power output levels. You’ll want to look for the same criteria you would for any other standard vape pen. Ideally, the best CBD oil vape pens will boast a battery capacity above 750mAh and a wattage output of at least 30-40W if not higher.

How Does It Feel to Vape CBD Oil?
There unfortunately hasn’t been a ton of research on the effects of CBD oil administered through vaping. However, if you look at the e-liquid reviews across distributions sites, you’ll find that a lot of customers find vaping CBD isn’t as effective as taking the cannabinoids through tinctures, capsules, and concentrates.
However, CBD oil taken orally sometimes takes longer to absorb. If you’re looking for the calming effects, you’ll have to wait for the substance to be broken down first before it you can absorb it.

No, no, no, no, no, and no. CBD oil cannot get you high.
Should I Vape CBD Oil or Take It Orally?
If you have CBD oil, you can take it orally by squeezing a few drops under your tongue or into your tea at night. However, be careful not to use CBD oil in your CBD oil vape pen. You’ll need special CBD oil vape liquid for your vaporizer, and regular oil will not suffice.
However, CBD vape oil is not CBD oil and cannot be consumed! CBD vape oil contains vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol, and you do NOT want to add this to your evening cup of chamomile.
